Rail reserve out of bounds for hikers

Hiking in the rail reserve - and crossing the Kaaimans Bridge - are not permitted

Classic Rail has reminded visitors and locals that the rail reserve is out of bounds for hikers. This includes the dangerous Kaaimans River Bridge.

"We understand the frustration of people who want to walk the line, but the safety of users is paramount," said Classic Rail CEO, Alan McVitty. "And while it is still going to take some time until we have trains running on that portion of the line, walking the bridge is still a hazardous pass-time given its current state of repair"
